Content & Interpretation - Exhibition Design

Client: Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC)

Location: London, UK

Size: Flexible

Completed: 2022

Created to celebrate the re-opening of Battersea Power Station in 2022, the Power of Place exhibition tells the story of 40 years of creative development proposals for the former industrial site, since ceasing power generation in 1983.

Cultural Innovations were re-engaged by BPSDC following the success of their Heritage Hub in 2018. Cultural Innovations provided content, interpretation and design from concept to final delivery in time for the opening celebrations.

Content & Interpretation

With unprecedented access to the archives of Battersea Power Station, Cultural Innovations told an unknown chapter in the story of this cultural landmark using historic artworks and original models.

Exhibition Design

Working closely with exhibition fabricators The Hub, our team responded to the client’s brief to design a flexible exhibit which could relocate and be reconfigured in and around the Power Station, as the newly opened building evolves.
