Jeddah Central Museum is a hugely ambitious undertaking to develop a new 45,000 m2 museum and cultural campus as part of a 4.9 square kilometre re-development at the heart of the city.

Cultural Innovations were appointed to develop the vision, curatorial focus, functional plan and architectural brief for a museum on the site of an existing desalination plant.

CI were retained through the architectural competition phase to advise teams on their concepts and to conduct a technical review of the final submissions. Heatherwick Studio were selected as the preferred architect and the project has been progressing successfully.
