Cultural Innovations was appointed in 2013 by Art Jameel to assist in establishing the initial project strategy and development plan. Cultural Innovations continued its engagement up to 2016, overseeing the architectural competition that was won by Serie Architects from the United Kingdom. This was followed by assisting Art Jameel in the design management of the building up to detailed design stage. The Jameel Arts Centre opened to the public in November 2018.
