Science Museum (SAASCC)
Kuwait City, Kuwait
The Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre (SAASCC) is a 13 hectare site in the Al Sha’ab district of Kuwait City currently being developed by the Amiri Diwan. Construction has now started on four world-class museums covering Science, Natural History, Space and Arabic Science, together with a Theatre and Fine Arts Centre. A central shaded “street” will provide a public connection between the four museums.
Cultural Innovations was appointed - initially by DAR SSH International Engineering Consultants and now by Alghanim International - to develop the museum’s content and exhibition design, with the aim of providing an invaluable resource for Kuwaiti schools and colleges, as well as a landmark attraction for families from Kuwait, the Middle East and beyond.
The Science Museum (6,800m²) contains eight galleries – Experiment, Innovate, Robotics and AI, Transport, Natural Defences, Healthy Living, Human Body and Mind, News and Views – with exhibits featuring hands-on experiments, games and simulator experiences.
