CI provided the Victoria & Albert Museum with procurement and construction management of the custom-designed showcases for the Damascus stage of this touring exhibition. The exhibition was located in the historical Khan Asad Pasha. The Khan was constructed in 1752 as a merchants’ trading and resting place but after extensive renovation it now offers a dramatic and expansive exhibition space.
Cairo-based showcase specialists APT Systems constructed 33 showcases providing conservation-standard environments for the V&A’s precious ceramics collection.
The exhibition opened to the public on 26th November 2008 and ran until 8th January 2009.
