V&A, China Design Now
Victoria & Albert Museum, London
Cultural Innovations carried out project management, cost management and CDM Co-ordination of this major temporary exhibition, which opened in March 2008.

The exhibition explores the creative landscape of China’s coastal cities. Starting in the South in Shenzhen (Frontier City) moving through Shanghai (Dream City) and finishing in Beijing (Future City).

As the visitor moves through the cities they gain understanding of China’s political and cultural centre through contemporary graphic design, fashion and lifestyle and monumental architecture.

The 800m2 exhibition, curated by Lauren Parker and Hongxing Zhang, comprised examples of current Chinese art, product design, architecture, print and web design and video installations. It received 73,000 visitors.
