Naturpark Altmühltal - Visitor Centre
Naturpark Altmühltal - Visitor Centre
Eichstätt, Germany
Dr. Rainer Tredt was appointed by the Naturpark Altmühltal in 2008 to redevelop the exhibition at the nature park's visitor centre. Working with Cultural Innovations, Dr. Tredt has managed the development of the design process and the production of the Interactive Media elements.

The visitor centre, which first opened in the early 1980s, is undergoing a total redevelopment. The project aims to provide a broad range of information on the cultural and natural heritage of the nature park within a state-of-the-art visitor centre. Through a micro habitat garden, the centre will also provide insights into the importance of nature conservation.

With their interactive media production partners Cultural Innovations have developed a pioneering 'eye-tracked' panoramic screen for a virtual tour round the nature park. The screen considers the size of the individual and displays the information accordingly at eye-level, automatically displaying information suitable for children or adults according to the visitor.
