Henry VIII: Heads and Hearts
Hampton Court Palace
2009 marks the 500th anniversary of King Henry VIII’s accession to the throne. Hampton Court Palace are marking the occasion by inviting visitors to celebrate Henry’s wedding to his sixth wife: Kateryn Parr. Cultural Innovations have been appointed by Historic Royal Palaces to project manage an interpretative refurbishment of the Tudor route that aims to place the visitor in the role of wedding guest.

CI’s remit also encompasses the restoration of Henry’s council chamber – a seminal space previously closed to the public. The chamber will be the location of a temporary exhibition investigating ‘Henry’s Women’, which will be replaced later in the year with a permanent AV installation illustrating a council debate.
